Care Groups

In an effort to be a community of believers that cares for and supports each member, we believe in small groups. These groups are called Care Groups and they meet outside of our Sunday morning service. Care groups meet in homes or at the church and build one another up through Bible study, group discussion, personal sharing, accountability, and prayer. Our care groups also conduct ministry outreach as teams.

Sanctuary has incorporated the baseball diamond model from the Purpose Driven Church. The design and strategy fits our care group ministry perfectly.

• Encourage group members to develop meaningful relationships with others
• Challenge members to invite others to join the group and/or attend weekend services with them
• Cultivate deeper relationships in a small group community
• Opportunity to be known and connected for the meeting of individual needs

• Challenge group members to incorporate the spiritual disciplines that lead to spiritual growth . . . (Discipleship Training, Uniquely You, etc.)
• Interact with others in Bible study and grow in understanding the Word of God
• Time with God in prayer for the meeting of individual and personal needs
• Encourage members to take time for journaling their spiritual journey

• Available and active in serving God as a group
• Challenge group members to mobilize into a ministry using their God-given design
• See the care group as a training environment to begin or continue to serve God and the body of Christ

• Become prayerfully and practically aware of those around you who do not know Christ
• Be willing to welcome newcomers into your lives and group over time
• Investigate possible short-term mission trips
• To spiritually reproduce your life in another person over time

• Be reminded of our need for God through prayer and worship
• Discover new ways to worship and honor God with our whole heart
• Pray for group members to examine their heart and commitments to Christ
