What about SACRAMENTS AND OTHER SACRED OCCASIONS???
Baptism: We believe in believer's baptism by immersion. Baptisms are not held at regularly scheduled times, but as the need arises. Those desiring to be baptized are asked to attend a baptismal class taught by a Pastor, held a week prior to the baptismal service. Those desiring baptism are to fill out the appropriate form at the Welcome Table.
The Lord's Supper: The sacrament is celebrated at least monthly, generally on the second Sunday morning. Our communion table is open to all who profess Jesus Christ as their Savior, regardless of their church affiliation. Whether young children can take the elements is left to the discretion of the parents.
Dedication of Children: We do not baptize children before their own personal commitment to Jesus Christ, but in the tradition of Hannah and Samuel, dedicate younger children to the Lord. Dedication of children takes place as requested. The dedication can only be meaningful to born-again parents who, in dedicating their child, promise before God to train them in the Word, both by precept and example.
Parents desiring to have their children dedicated should contact a Pastor and fill out the appropriate form at the Welcome Table. The Pastor will conduct a parents class one week prior to the dedication service.
Anointing With Oil: Anointing with oil is available upon requests made to our pastor or elders, or in response to an invitation given in one of our services. In keeping with James 5:14-15, those desiring anointing for healing of physical, emotional and spiritual problems will be accommodated.
Weddings: Weddings are performed by our pastoral staff. A minimum of three hours of pre-marital counseling is required. The counseling is usually conducted through mentor couples. A brochure outlining our wedding policy is available by request from the church office. The pastor reserve the right to decline participation in wedding ceremonies where, in their opinion, the couple does not have biblical grounds for marriage.
